Revisions 1.9.52 ‐ 1.9.55:

Revisions 1.9.41 ‐ 1.9.44:
Revision 1.9.40:
- [tinySpell+] A portable version of tinySpell+ is available. This version does not require an installation - just copy the tinySpell+ folder from the zip file to any drive (including USB drives). All settings and data are stored in the tinySpell+ folder (nothing is saved in the Registry). The only exception: when you check the option "Run tinySpell+ at startup" tinySpell+ portable adds a shortcut link to the Windows Startup folder.
To run tinySpell+ portable: open the tinySpell+ folder and double-click "tinySpellp+.exe".
Important:
installing tinySpell+ on a portable drive requires a separate license, with one exception: you may install the portable version of tinySpell+ on one portable drive in addition to the PC installation, using the same license, provided that you are the only user of both installations. Any additional installation requires a new license.
Important:
tinySpell+ portable might not register on some drives. So, in order to check if your drive allows registration: download tinySpell+ portable, copy the tinySpell+ folder from the zip file to your drive, open the folder and run "tinySpellp+.exe". Right-click the TS tray icon, select "Unlock" and click on the button that says "click here to unlock tinySpell+". If you get the message: "Cannot register tinySpell+ portable on this device" it means that the drive is not compatible with tinySpell+ portable.
- [tinySpell+] A "learn mode" has been added to tinySpell+. When the learn mode is enabled tinySpell+ records your replacements to spelling errors. The selected correction will be then offered as the best guess in the spelling tip (for instant replacement). In addition, when the same replacement repeats itself a specified number of times, it is added to the dictionary as an auto-replacement (automatically or with user confirmation).
- [tinySpell+] You can now create custom private dictionaries (for different purposes) and choose the one that is currently active.
- Bug fixes.

Revision 1.9.30:
- A check for updates has been added. The check can be done manually or automatically on a regular basis. If a new version is found the user is prompted to download and optionally install it.
- Bug fixes.

Revision 1.9.20:
- The online Help has been converted to the CHM format (Compiled HTML) to better support newer operating systems (Vista, Windows 7) that no longer provide viewers for the older HLP format.
- Bug fixes.

Revision 1.9.10:
- [tinySpell+] Two more options have been added:
Beep if first letter of sentence is not capitalized - tinySpell+ beeps if a sentence starts with lowercase letter.
Capitalize first letter of sentences - the first letter of a sentence is capitalized.
Note that for tinySpell a new sentence starts only after you typed a previous sentence and ended it with one of the following punctuation marks: . ! ?
- [tinySpell+] If you are really annoyed by the window that pops up when you start tinySpell+ you can skip it by modifying the command line that starts tinySpell+. This is done as follows:
Right-click the tinySpell+ Desktop icon, select the Shortcut tab, and add -q to the text in the Target field.
The text in this field is normally:
"C:\Program Files\tinyspell+\tinySpell+.exe"
and after the change it becomes:
"C:\Program Files\tinyspell+\tinySpell+.exe" -q

Revision 1.9.01:
- A portable version of tinySpell (the freeware) is now available. Just download the zip file and extract the tinySpell folder to your drive.
You can put the portable version on any drive, including your hard drive and portable drives (USB, SD, etc.).
The portable version does not require an installation and does not use the Windows registry. The settings and other data (e.g., private dictionary) are all saved
in the tinySpell folder. Note that with this version when you check the option "Run tinySpell at startup" tinySpell adds a link to the Windows Startup folder.
- The spelling tip can now be displayed also in applications that do not provide the position of the caret (the current typing position).
In such a case the spelling tip is displayed in the top-right corner of the window. To enable this you need to check the option "Show spelling tip even if caret position is not available" (in Settings).
- Multiple monitors are now handled correctly (hopefully).
- [tinySpell+] It is now possible to import/export lists of words to/from the private dictionary, including auto-replacements.
Import and export can be scheduled to allow synchronization between the private dictionaries of users on the same network.
- [tinySpell+] When you open the replacements list you have an additional option "Add auto-replacement" that allows you to add to the dictionary an auto-replacement to the misspelled word instead of the word itself.
- [tinySpell+] When the option "Match dictionary to current language" is not set you can change the dictionary by right-clicking the tinySpell tray icon and selecting "Language".
- [tinySpell+] When you open the webinfo bar the whole text in the bar is selected and can easily be deleted. Also, the whole text can be selected with Ctrl+A.
